Through a wonderful partnership with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Erie County 4-H, the Botanical Gardens will celebrate National 4-H Week by featuring a 4-H Fall Fest from September 30 through October 15. Visitors will delight in interacting with a large cast of characters including ducks, sheep, piglets and rabbits at the onsite 4-H Farm. The 4-H Farm will be open from 10am to 4pm daily and will offer engaging educational displays and visits with 4-H families for visitors to enjoy. Cornell Cooperative Extension of Erie County programs are designed to improve the quality of life for all county residents.  Learn about all the amazing programs 4-H has to offer and so much more at this family fun event.

During 4-H Fall Fest, a special BOOtanical Celebration, sponsored by Wegmans, will celebrate all things creepy and crawly on October 14 from 10am to 2pm.  Participants will learn about some spooky plants at the Botanical Gardens, participate in hands-on activities, make some fun crafts to take home, visit the 4-H Farm, visit the Bookmobile and more. Everyone will enjoy some Halloween prizes and healthy treats from Enad’s Bakery. The BOOtancial Celebration is also peanut allergy friendly. Visitors are also encouraged to wear their costumes and participate in a costume parade through the Botanical Gardens. Parade line-up begins at 10:45 and 12:45 in the Palm Dome. The parade travels in a circle through greenhouses of BOOtanical delights! 4-H members, posing as live mannequins, will model textiles and clothing they created this year along with some Halloween costumes.
