A 1.5 mile Walk, children's activities, Theme Basket Auction, food trucks, free zumba, and music to raise community awareness on the signs of depression and addiction, ways to seek help, and an opportunity to remember those of our friends who have left us too soon.

South Buffalo and the entire Buffalo/Niagara region have been hit hard in recent years by depression-related deaths. Suicide and addiction have unfortunately become increasingly prevailant. We encourage friends and family members who have lost loved ones too soon (for these or any issues) to walk and remember them in their own way.

The event is free and open to EVERYONE. With this in mind, we ask the entire community to take part in this walk, bring your children, and stand up for those amongst us who may currently be going through difficult times.

The primary objective of this event is to raise awareness and let everyone currently affected by depression/addiction know that their community supports them in their ongoing struggles and HAS NOT given up on them.

The walk and party will be FREE for everyone, with a suggested donation (optional) of $5 for each adult walker. Any proceeds raised will be given to charitable groups chosen by South Buffalo families who have lost loved ones due to these issues.

Any help in organizing the event (especially those with experience in similar events) is greatly appreciated.Thank you.
