Join us for an afternoon of asana, pranayama and lifestyle practices to help transition from winter to spring!
Being led by Monica McGuire of Metta Body and Jessica Mascle.
We will explore the effects of the seasonal shift through the lens of Ayurveda. Ayurveda is a holistic health science that allows us to know ourselves at an elemental level and to make choices that support balance in body & mind.
11:30-12:45 Ayurvedic asana & pranayam
12:45-1:45 Lunch provided, Kitchari (spiced rice and dal) & herbal tea
1:45-3:30 Ayurveda 101, with emphasis on seasonal change support (winter to spring)
Monica & Jessica met at the Himalayan Institute where the both studied in HIB's Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist program.
Monica McGuire, founder of Metta Body combines her training as a massage therapist, Yoga instructor, and Ayurveda specialist to understand the physical and energetic body and share her understanding with her students and clients in a unique way.
Jessica Mascle has a passion for education and uses her 20 years of experience in Ayurveda and yoga as tools to educate inner city youth in public education every day.
