Will Wood and the Tapeworms : http://www.willwoodandthetapeworms.com/

Appearing out of nowhere in the summer of 2015, Will Wood was vomited onto the New Jersey music scene soaked in face paint, confetti, and turpentine - screaming. The “intriguing and histrionic” (Star-Ledger, 2016) singer-songwriter has been crashing around NJ/NY/PA with his band of merry pranksters Will Wood and the Tapeworms alongside international and national acts like Gogol Bordello, Honus Honus of Man Man/Mister Heavenly, and others for little over a year now, and now the “manic maestro” (NJ.com, 2016) himself is carting his keyboard to the heart of the american nightmare. Desperate, terrified, wielding a can of bear mace and suffering from Borderline Personality Disorder, the gender-bending cabaret punk plays piano like a vaudeville sideshow on LSD, head butting his keyboard and singing songs about mental illness, drug addiction, love, lust, and law enforcement. His new record, SELF-iSH, features the work of members of Foxy Shazam, The Dillinger Escape Plan, and Frank Iero and the Patience, and has received local and national press attention for its “sheer beauty,” (mycentraljersey.com, 2016) and its “journey into glittering hysteria” (AXS Entertainment, 2016). The Aquarian calls Will Wood “the epitome of a performance,” Dying Scene says sitting in the front row is a “dangerous decision,” and MTV.com warns, “You might want to sit down for this one.”
