Ladies Night returns to the 9th Ward at Babeville featuring four amazingly talented Buffalo singer-songwriters: Grace Stumberg, Sara Elizabeth, Tina Williams and Megan Brown. Each perform some of their own songs before coming together for a joint set.

GRACE STUMBERG
Grace Stumberg is a creator of friendly original music that grabs the ears of any listener. Born in Buffalo, NY, Stumberg is inspired by raw simple songwriting that really rocks out, and her music is a genre t...hat can be explained as pop/rock/funky and sometimes folk; never fully understood until experienced. She has learned the ways of the “touring world” by serving as folk legend Joan Baez’s personal assistant since November 2011, and back-up singer since 2012. This experience has led to other opportunities in the music industry, such as singing with the Indigo Girls, and opening up for Josh Ritter. Stumberg has also opened for Baez in Lowell, MA, and performed her own show in Dublin, Ireland during a Baez tour.

SARA ELIZABETH
Sara Elizabeth is a 24 year old indie singer/songwriter, musician, storyteller, and multi-instrumentalist based in Western New York. Sara picked up her first guitar on her ninth birthday, at which point she began 8 years of classical and jazz training before turning to songwriting full time. She has since added ukulele, piano, banjo, and mandolin to her repertoire to help support her alto vocals, and is also a 2012 graduate of the University at Buffalo’s Department of Music. Often backing Sara Elizabeth is the talented bassist and fellow UB alumni Tom Varco, as well as a variety of talented percussionists.

MEGAN BROWN
Megan Brown is best known for being the lead vocalist of the band Dirty Smile, a rock/pop/soul outfit from the heart of rust belt realness, Buffalo, NY. If there was ever a band named ‘Fleetwood Zeppelin’, they would have to change their name to ‘Dirty Smile’. Armed with a batch of honest songs and an infectious energy, Dirty Smile stands resolute in its pursuit of rock-n-roll greatness.

TINA WILLIAMS
Tina Marie Williams is a singer/songwriter from Buffalo, NY. She has been playing and writing music for the past 10 years and has worked with many acclaimed producers and musicians in the Buffalo area. Williams’ style ranges from classic country to jazz to anti-folk. She enjoys working in bits of fiction, as well as biographical flavors to her work, resulting in an organic “tasting” of flavorful characters experiencing a wide range of emotions and situations. If you have ever been defeated, in love, the victor, the villain or the thief, you will find something to cling to withing the bars of Williams’ tunes.
