Free, guided 30 minute walks in downtown Buffalo this May. Convene at 12:00 noon at the Buffalo Niagara Visitor Center, located at the corner of Lafayette Sq. and Washington St. (across from the Hotel @ The Lafayette, diagonal from the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library). Each week’s route will explore a different corridor of the city center, highlighting historic sites and architectural treasures. The guided walks will also provide education on pedestrian safety in urban environments. Walks will embark at 12:10 pm on the following Wednesdays:

Continued implementation of Buffalo’s “Complete Streets” policy advocating a walkable/rollable built environment has made it easier and safer than ever to live, work, and play in downtown Buffalo.” “Movin’ In May” provides an opportunity to adopt healthy behaviors, like walking, while cultivating new, social capital building, relationships in “the City of Good Neighbors.”

This Spring, make the move to reacquaint yourself with all downtown Buffalo has to offer. Be Active! Join us for a walk towards a healthier you. Copies of this Downtown walk series and Wegman’s sponsored Family Passport to Wellness, which highlights the various parks and walking trails, will be disseminated at each walk!
