Proceeds to benefit the John C. Sable Memorial Heart

The John C. Sable Memorial Heart Fund was established as a memorial to John C. Sable who in 1949 suffered a fatal heart attack while serving our fraternal organization, The Independent Order of Oddfellows, as New York State Grand Master.  Each year since the organization provides a fellowship grant to worthy doctors for postgraduate work in research and advance study in heart disease and heart health.
