  • Join us for the opening reception of the Flexible Structure Art Group exhibition on Saturday, November 3rd, 6-9PM. The Flexible Structure Art Group is a collective of six Western New York artists who work regularly meet with a goal to elevate each other’s artistic practice.

Beginning in 2013, founding members Suzette Henry and Gretchen Berwick were inspired to start an art group with the central motivation to re-integrate creativity back into their lives. Members in the group use each other’s ideas and encouragement towards artistic goals while still managing life’s other responsibilities.

Gretchen summarizes the group’s original goals: “Our idea was the same: gather together with like-minded individuals to focus on creating art, talking about art, and learning about art. However, we didn’t want to create more stress in our lives by instituting hard and fast rules.”

Accountability without guilt trips. Experimentation without restrictive boundaries. Group critiques without losing sight of an individual’s unique vision. These were the beginning tenets of the collective.

Since 2013, the group has grown into a 6-member collective where they collaborate, share ideas and enhance each other’s work with critiques.

This exhibition will showcase the work of all 6 artists in the Flexible Structure Art Group ranging from painting, to 3D forms, photography and literary expression.

    Participating Artists Include:
    Suzette Henry
    Gretchen Berwick
    KC Zugger
    Joan Irving
    Kimberly Henry
    Aaron Lelito

Please join us for this unique showcase of artwork! Refreshments will be served and admission is free. This exhibition will be on view for the month of November with gallery hours TBA.
