The Sixth Annual Hamburg Music Festival takes place on Saturday, May 17th, in the Village of Hamburg. 16 restaurants, bars, and coffee shops, and 3 outdoor village locations will host 38 acts throughout the afternoon and evening. Your $10 wristband buys you access to all the venues, to Memorial Park, and provides you with unlimited rides on the Music Bus, which scoots you around the village starting at 5pm. At Memorial Park you’ll hear music from 2pm-10pm (including Ray Hangen’s All-Star Revue, Grace Stumberg Band, Gruvology, 2LeftBoots, Sense Memory, and more), and you can also enjoy food and drink from local vendors. The KidZone is back at the park this year with plenty of free and healthy activities for kids. Also, you’ll want to spend some time at the Non-Profit Expo section of the park, where non-profit organizations will be on hand to tell you about/show you examples of the good work they do all year long. Mike Randall, Paul Peck, and the hosts of “Say Something Saturdays” are the emcees throughout the day. At its heart, the Hamburg Music Festival is a fundraiser. All of the money from wristband sales goes towards people and groups “doing real and actionable good in our community.” To date, the festival has donated more than $60,000 to people and groups doing just that.... (you can find the complete list of contributions to date on the Hamburg Music Festival website) Major sponsors of this event include Certo Brothers Distributing Co., Hodgson Russ, Laurus Business Computing, NA Breweries, Scherer Electric, The Fisher Group, Towne Mini, Benderson Development, Chiacchia & Fleming, Delta Sonic Car Wash, Evans Bank, EZ Squeezees, Hamburg Gaming, and “Say Something Saturdays” (WECK 102.9FM) Participating venues are: Memorial Park, Armor Inn, August Bistro, Bistro in the Square, Buffalo Street Grill, Braymiller’s Lanes, Carrubba’s, Comfort Zone, Coyote Café, Hideaways, J&M’s West End, JP Fitzgeralds, Mammoser’s, Mason’s Grille 52, Moonshiner’s Pub & Grub, Pour House, and Tina’s Italian Kitchen.
