The final Pop Up Playdate Cafe of the season will take place on Saturday, November 18. This outdoor, Loose Parts, Adventure Play-style space is for families with little ones, from sitting up to about age seven. Play materials are curated and provided by The Backyard Atelier, $15/family. It's ideal if you want a chance to relax with friends while your children play, with the convenience of a cafe and the flexibility and freedom of an outdoor space.

We are offering a Family Registration discount for those who can bring Loose Parts donations from home to add to our permanent collection at Tifft. Please do not purchase anything new (though thrifted finds are great), we are interested in REUSING materials and giving them renewed use in supporting children's imaginative play. For every $5 credit we ask for a minimum of TWO items. We are looking for items like baking utensils, muffin tins, silicon muffin cups, kitchen timers, old phones or calculators, good quality buckets or pitchers (preferably rust proof metal, sm, med, and large), measuring cups, game board pieces, plastic or wood animal figures, natural items like acorn caps or pinecone collections, old keys, wood beads, wood blocks, sandpaper, cardboard boxes and tubes, milk crates, hammers, wrenches, etc, etc, etc. Send us a PM with a picture of what you'd like to bring for credit and we'll message you a coupon code for $5, $10, or $15 to use towards your online registration.

We're also now offering fresh pressed juice and healthy breakfast options from Ashker's Juice Bar - Bistro - Gallery, starting this week! Check out the options online at www.popupplaydatecafe.com

Invite your friends to meet you there. We provide the friendly chatter, play space, and tasty treats. Can’t wait to see you.

The Backyard Atelier is an outdoor, play-based early childhood program that draws inspiration from the Adventure Playground movement (playwork), Reggio Emilia Approach and Forest schools of Europe. By creating a curated space that prioritizes each child's play agenda, children are encouraged to explore their interests, questions and big ideas through open-ended, child-directed, loose parts play.
