Storytelling has been a very important part of every culture. While reading about Märchen I found many similarities between this type of storytelling and the work that I do. Many of these stories involve elements of magic and the supernatural. Giving mortal beings magical powers or exposing the hero to supernatural beings or objects is a strong theme throughout many of these tales. In this series I bring many of these themes to each piece, giving the paintings a life of their own.
