Hallwalls 51st Annual Members Exhibition
Friday 18th Jul, 2025 → Tuesday 22nd Jul, 2025

Hallwalls
341 Delaware Ave. Buffalo, NY 14202For every year Hallwalls has existed, we have mounted an annual Members Exhibition. This is an opportunity for any current Member of Hallwalls to share their work with the community. As expected, these exhibitions can vary wildly from year to year, but the volume of participants has increased steadily over the past decade. In 2024, our Members Exhibition exhibited a record 277 artworks.
This number is relevant because the core purpose of the Members Exhibition is to showcase the volume and variety of artistic activity in our city and region. As Visual Arts Curator John Massier has said, "The 277 artworks in the 2024 Members Exhibition represent 277 distinct, individual and iconoclastic paths along an 'art life.' Every artist is defining their own journey with their work, so that many artworks demonstrate just a portion of the wide array of art lives out there, happening right now."
So yes, the Members Exhibition says something about Hallwalls but what it is really talking about is the deeply resonant activity surrounding Hallwalls. We are nothing without the creative forms of expression that endless numbers of artists produce.
Accordingly, ALL HALLWALLS MEMBERS are invited to participate in this annual, non-juried exhibition by submitting one work for display. Members are defined as those with updated, paid dues as of the relevant drop-off date.
This year, we’re also including a special note from Erin Long, artist, Hallwalls member, and Chair of our Board’s Membership & Marketing Committee, who shares why this community is so important:
"Hallwalls is the kind of place you search for when exploring a new city—the spot where locals go, where the art is just the perfect amount of different, and where creativity thrives in every corner. The staff and members are some of the most accepting and wildly creative people in all of Western New York. There's a ‘Cheers-like’ camaraderie here—an energy that makes it feel like home. It’s not just an art space; it’s a community that supports and celebrates bold ideas.”
We hope you’ll continue to be part of this vibrant artist community by renewing your membership and participating in this year’s Members Exhibition.
