A live drawing rally and silent auction, Hallwalls' 10th drawing rally since 2012. A great occasion to see work made, bid on it, and perhaps buy something lovely for your collection. Accept no substitutes. This is where you want to be on the last Wednesday in July.

The premise is simple: curator John Massier invites 36 artists to draw LIVE in Asbury Hall in one of two successive 45 minute drawing sessions. Following each round of drawing, works are available for a 30 minute silent auction with opening bids a lowly $39.

Do not be deceived by the brevity of the occasion—all participating artists come to represent and typically make astounding works. 

Participating artists run the gamut in style and experience from emerging to mid career to well established. There is never a theme. We invite artists to draw whatever they like. Each rally includes both returning champs AND new participants.

Drawing times are FIRM. They are not approximate "Buffalo time."

First round: 7:15 to 8pm
Second round: 8:15 to 9pm

Two separate counters projected on stage tell artists and audience the times remaining in both drawing and bidding.
