If you explore the 2nd floor of The Barrel Factory you will find a stage, a DJ, microphones and teams of poets ready to take words to battle. Come and sip on some Western New York Style beverages and hear some today’s best poets battle it out for the QEW Slam Title and $700 in prizes.

This event has had seven previous champions and the two most recent, Buffalo’s own Pure Ink Poetry Slam, and Albany’s Nitty Gritty Slam, will both be vying to take back the title. Come join in the lights, the mic, the stage, and celebrate poetry with us!
