The Taste of Buffalo will throng four long, wide blocks of Delaware Avenue this weekend (July 11-12). The largest two-day food festival in the nation, bites of some of the best of Buffalo’s culinary delights have been dished up at this event for 32 years.

The following weekend you might wish to take a taste of the New Buffalo. No, not at the Italian Heritage Festival (July 16-19). The nation’s second largest Italian street festival has been dishing up cannoli and linguine with clam sauce on Hertel Ave for more than a quarter century, but actually started in 1976 on Connecticut Street.

Head down to the Buffalo River for peek at the new Buffalo. Really. Start at Vibe Fest @ RiverWorks at 2:00pm on Saturday, July 18. Part of Buffalo Reunion Weekend and the brainchild of some very energetic and forward thinking Millennials, this family-friendly event is intended to help bring our city together through music and the arts. It is just one of many events planned by Haute La Vie’s founders, Shawn Patterson and Adriana Gonzales-Vera along with the team at BuffaloVibe. Vibe Fest will feature ten bands on two stages, games and activities for the entire family, a slam dunk contest, a bboy battle, a BMX stunt show, and more.

Then leave your vehicle right where you parked it and head across the river to City of Night, an ELAB event which continues the new Buffalo vibe in the Old First Ward with performance art, installations, and much more. Back-to-back entertainment, and parking issues avoided.

Buffalo’s past and future are colliding and combining, weekend after amazing weekend. Don’t even think about traveling during the summer months. Think of what you’ll be missing!
