Buffalo has a new vibe and a new venue. The just-opened RiverWorks will rock this Saturday with VibeFest, the crown jewel of Buffalo Reunion Weekend.

The New Buffalo vibe is positive and upbeat. It’s inclusive and diverse. And so is VibeFest. The ten bands on multiple stages represent a full spectrum of music, from reggae to rock & roll, salsa to blues. So there will be tunes on tap for just about everyone. But this family-friendly event also includes a BMX stunt show, a dunk contest and a Bboy battle. And did I mention the life-sized Foosball game?

So VibeFest is more than just a concert, it’s an event for the entire family. In fact, it’s for the entire Buffalo family. It’s about bringing Buffalo together, keeping our best and brightest here, bringing home those who have left. Lofty aspirations for an event, but these are the goals of organizers Shawn Patterson and Adriana Gonzales-Vera, the energetic founders of Haute La Vie. If these goals sound familiar, it’s because this is what co-sponsors BuffaloVibe.com and Citybration are all about.

VibeFest brings us all together at RiverWorks, Buffalo’s newest event venue. This waterfront destination is symbolic of Buffalo’s resurgence. If you haven’t seen the rinks, the stages, the ruins and the riverfront restaurants and balconies yet, Saturday is the day to check it out. The views are fabulous. It’s on Ganson Street, in the shadow of the Labatt Blue grain silos. Checkout the full lineup and get your tickets now. Just $15 general admission, $50 VIP. And this really is a family-friendly event - children 12 and under are FREE, accompanied by an adult, of course.

The best place to feel the New Buffalo vibe this weekend is at VibeFest at the new RiverWorks. Then segue straight into City of Night, right across the river. See you there!
