"After undergoing a remarkable transformation in recent years, Buffalo-Niagara is a cultural hotspot home to art galleries, a burgeoning craft beer scene and dotted with architectural gems throughout its historic neighborhoods--not to mention one of the most magnificent world wonders, Niagara Falls. So start exploring, here's what you need to know for your trip to the Greater Buffalo-Niagara region."

This I Love New York promotional Spotlight: Buffalo & Niagara Falls lists as "three things you can't miss" Canalside, the Darwin Martin House and the Niagara Falls Jet boats.

Recommended if you have a day to spend here are an Explore Buffalo tour, lunch at the Anchor Bar, a wander through Canalside and a drive to the Falls in the evening when they are illuminated.

A weekend? Start with a tour of the Darwin D. Martin House, take a Buffalo Bites Food Tour through Elmwood Village (or East Aurora) on Saturday, and spend Sunday at various Falls attractions using the Niagara USA Discovery Pass.

A whole week sends visitors to the Zoo,  Ashker's Juice Bar and Cafe and Elmwood Village, the Albright-Knox, Shakespeare in Delaware Park, Forest Lawn, and Larkin Square. Wednesday takes folks to Lockport for an Erie Canal Cruise, Lake Effect Ice Cream, and Lockport Cave & Underground Boat Ride, and to Tonawanda for the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum, the Riviera Theater and dinner at Webster's Bistro & Bar. Then head back to Buffalo for the Botanical Gardens and Resurgence Brewery. Friday starts with breakfast at Betty's and a walk through Allentown and ends at Shea's. Saturday sends folks up the Niagara Wine Trail, and suggests that Sunday be spent at Old Fort Niagara with dinner at  The Silo

Five of hotels suggested are in Niagara Falls, while four are in Buffalo. Restaurants range from the Como to Carmelo's and include the new Lloyds Taco Factory.

I've written articles like this one. It's really difficult to choose one attraction over another, one restaurant out of so many. This article has a few long shots and outlyers as well as the must-sees.

What do you think is missing? Anything that should not be recommended at all?
