We should be allowed to beautify terrible space...

Anyone that knows me would be well aware of the fact that I am a huge fan of hip-hop culture in all its forms - DJing, MCing, Breaking and Graffiti. Nowadays we may not think of graffiti as part of hip-hop so much as it is a legitimate and powerful artform on its own.

Here in Buffalo as in just about every city in the world, one can find evidence of the presence of these urban calligraphers that call themselves writers, taggers, artists, rebels. This city has no shortage of derelict buildings and one of the questions continues to be whether graffiti in these forgotten spots should be considered a crime.

As the debate of vandalism vs. beautification rages on, this documentary by Mouse Media Productions complete with hidden identity interviews gives a voice to the point of view of the graffiti artists.
