35th Annual Antique and Classic Boat Show

BuffaloLaunch Club,Grand Island,NY,September 8, 2012

Docks open10:00 am – 5:00 pm Free admission $5.00 on-site parking.

The Niagara Frontier Antique and Classic Boat Show is the largest of its kind in the country. The show attracts over 150 beautifully restored mahogany and fiberglass boats from across theU.S.andCanada. Most of the boats on display were built between 1920 and 1970. The oldest boat to register so far is a 1903 Mathis/Trumpy Cruiser owned by Sherill Flemming ofBuffaloNY. The boats are displayed both in water and on land.

In addition to the beautiful mahogany runabouts (think “On Golden Pond”), vintage Gold Cup racers and Unlimited Hydroplanes provide excitement throughout the day. The magnificent “Miss US IV”, featuring an original Allison aircraft engine, makes her debut after a complete restoration. Experience these beautifully restored race boats under full power as they run the historicNiagara Riverrace course in front of the Buffalo Launch Club. The noise is deafening and the thrills unforgettable.

Bring the kids and bid on a classic boat ride in a mahogany speedboat, classic cruiser, or vintage Jersey Speed Skiff for an end-of-the-day experience that you will not soon forget! Auction rides will take place at approximately3:30 pm to 5pm.

There’s also a classic car show, boating flea market, and supervised nautical kid’s camp. And, of course, what show would be complete without plenty of great food and drink!

Come out and enjoy one of the last weekends of summer at the beautiful
