Whether you have a spacious backyard or a stoop for a few containers, you can enjoy beautiful, easy-to-grow plants with useful medicinal properties. In this class, Community Herbalist Sarah Sorci will introduce you the medicinal properties and safe uses of a few common ornamentals (bee balm, echinacea, catnip, Solomon's Seal, etc.), and share some easy-to-grow medicinal plants you may not have heard of (holy basil, ashwagandha, etc.). Sarah will include tips for cultivation, and preparation after harvest. Each participant will take home their choice of an herb seed packet to start their own garden.
