Create a Medieval Illumination

This class will explore a basic history of the art of illumination including its origin and a few example books from different periods. Students will learn basic watercolor painting skills along with the technique of applying gold leaf. Students will use composition gold leaf and watercolor to create their own artwork. No prior experience is required. This is a great beginner class to learn this age old art, which the Roycrofters used in their own books. Registration required.
