With the people behind them, this rootsy alternative band is ready for lift-off! Led by Canadian singer/songwriter and guitarist Sherri-Anne, Sister Speak combines captivating vocals and rootsy guitar stylings with drummer Lisa Viegas’ dynamic percussive beats. While the core duo has origins in Canada, Sister Speak is based out of San Diego, CA. Their current line-up features the bass grooves of Jacob Miranda and Tolan Shaw or Meir Shitrit on lead guitar.

In 2014, NBC placed Sherri Anne as one of San Diego's top nine rhythm guitarists, with Sister Speak's debut album being a "solid, riveting testament." This paved the way for a 'Best Pop Album' nomination at the San Diego Music Awards.

Sister Speak ultimately gives the sound of ‘Americana’ an edge and the sound of ‘Indie Pop’ a depth usually reserved for folk music. The band’s unique musical pallet has afforded them opening slots for Air Supply, Chris Isaak and Run River North while captivating a diverse crowd of fans from around the globe. With over 100 peformances a year, Sister Speak has played notable rooms such as The Casbah San Diego, The Belly Up, The Namm Show, Hard Rock Cafe Chicago, Mayne Stage Chicago, and festivals throughout the USA and Canada.
