Join conductors of  Buffalo Niagara Choirs, Doreen Rao & Lydia Adams as they celebrate the gala opening concert; Peace Bridge Carmina Burana. Doreen Rao and Lydia Adams will conduct this international collaboration between the Buffalo Master Chorale and Toronto’s acclaimed Amadeus Choir. The featured work is Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana, with the Buffalo Niagara Youth Chorus singing Orff’s youth-choir movements. Soloists include Amy Grable, soprano, Robert Zimmerman, tenor, and Nelson Lohnes, baritone. Pianists are Matthew Marco and MiKyung Kim. Other works on the program include: “Alleluia” by the Lithuanian composer, Algirdas Martinaitis, “The Hour Has Come” by Canadian composer Srul Irving Gluck, and the world premiere of “Light Suspended” by Canadian/Muslim composer Hussein Janmohamed.
