The March 4th concert will be the first ever performance for this premier jazz group and the set will include Filsinger’s original compositions along with jazz standards. Collectively, the musicians have performed, toured and recorded with world-renown big bands and jazz artists including Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Woody Herman, Tommy Dorsey, Maynard Ferguson, Dave Brubeck and Doc Severinsen.

Mark Filsinger is a trumpeter, educator and composer and current hold an assistant professor position at the State University of New York College at Buffalo. He has presented research and best practice workshops at state, regional, national and international music conferences and has performed with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, The Temptations, Irish Tenors, the Harry James Orchestra, and has played on several Broadway National tours. Filsinger holds a B.M., M.M., and Ph.D. from the Eastman School of Music.
