An amalgam of musical styles shambled into a gracefully awkward, ceaselessly entertaining, yet surprisingly impressive, array of musicianship and live debauchery. A creative mess of acrobatics and lyrical absurdity assure an enjoyable show every time! From 40 minutes to 4 hours the energy doesn't stop and the performance never dull. Black Velvet is a Western NY metal quad-act consisting of Dakota Smith, Patrick Tierney, Jacob Butcher and Devon Brodka. They are currently playing shows within the area and setting aside time in the summer to record their first E.P. as a unit.

As an ambitious group of writers based in Western New York, the band melds an eclectic blend of Progressive Rock, Hard Rock, Grunge, Funk, Metal, Blues and Jazz influences. These diverse musical styles allow the group to appeal to a broad audience and are the basis of the band's pioneering sound.
