Let's go Buffalo, show us whatcher made of! Continuing the momentum built by six months of community bicycle rides with more than 16,000 total participants, Slow Roll Buffalo is presenting its first wintertime ride - dubbed a “Snow Roll” - on Buffalo’s Outer Harbor, beginning at the sprawling former industrial site-turned entertainment complex Riverworks.

Kicking off a three-part monthly series of wintertime rides, the first Snow Roll is set for Sunday, December 13th - meeting at noon, departing at 12:30 - returning to the site of the only rained-out ride from Slow Roll’s recently concluded 25-week season. Guided by a volunteer squad that keeps the pace slow up front, the group together in the middle, and a support team in back ready for any mechanical issues, this Slow Roll will span the Outer Harbor with an eight-mile route departing from and returning to Riverworks shortly after the start of the Buffalo Bills game.

“Buffalonians are a hardy bunch, a trait we seek to prove with these Snow Roll rides,” said Slow Roll Buffalo co-founder Tony Caferro. “We got a lot of encouragement for this idea as our main season wound down, and we’re excited to see how many people are up for a wintertime community bike ride.”

Future Snow Roll rides will be hosted by favorite past hosts Flying Bison Brewery on Saturday, January 30th, and Resurgence Brewery on Sunday, February 21st. Presented by Independent Health with support from DTR45, The Good Neighborhood, Kara Kenney for Hair and GO Bike Buffalo, Slow Roll Buffalo has become the largest affiliate of Slow Roll Detroit, which now runs in 10 cities across three countries.
