The Cheektowaga Community Symphony Orchestra opens the 37th annual Polish American Arts Festival in Cheektowaga festivities on Thursday, July 16. Polka music follows on Friday evening, there are several masses on Saturday, then vendors, art, a parade and more all day Sunday, and delicious Polish fare throughout.

Actress Loretta Swit, best known for her role as Major Margaret “Hot Lips” Houlihan on the television show “M*A*S*H,” will be the guest of honor and an honorary grand marshal at the annual Pulaski Day parade on Sunday, July 19 which begins at 1:30 p.m. at the Thruway Plaza, heads west on Walden Avenue to north on Harlem Road, ending up in Cheektowaga Town Park.The parade honors General Casimir Pulaski, born in Warsaw, who became a Revolutionary War hero.
