Lancaster Unleashed, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the creation of a community dog park, is planning the Fourth Annual Patriotic Paws Parade in the Village of Lancaster. This fun event highlights the creativity of dog parents and the patience of their dogs in costumes as they compete to see which dog is “Most Patriotic” and “Dog/Owner Look-alike”, where dog and owner demonstrate the best combined costume/theme.

The check in for Patriotic Paws begins at 5:30pm in the Municipal Parking Lot at the corner of Broadway and Central Avenue in the Village of Lancaster. At 6:30pm, pups and parents will take a short stroll down Central Avenue before returning to be judged in the costume contest at approximately 7pm. 

Registration fees for Patriotic Paws are:

• Preregistration: $7.00 for first dog in a family and $5.00 for each dog after that
• Day of Event Registration: $10.00 for first dog in a family and $5.00 for each dog after that

All proceeds from the event will benefit Lancaster Unleashed’s Fund the Fence campaign. As recently announced, Lancaster Unleashed’s Dog Park will be established on approximately 1.5 acres of land in Erie County’s Como Lake Park. Our single largest expenditure will be installing a vinyl coated chain-link fence, which includes a sally port gate system.
