It‘s been 13 consecutive years, since Ida Goeckel, a local female bass player, and now two time breast cancer survivor, founded and organized the first annual Female Musicians Fighting Breast Cancer Benefit. The 13th Annual Female Musicians Fighting Breast Cancer benefit is once again set to raise awareness and funds for the WNY Breast Resource Center, the go-to support and information center on the grounds of Roswell Park Cancer Institute. It is where patients and their support network can learn to make informed choices and become better equipped to explore their treatment options.

With four local acts, featuring female members, donating their talent to perform from 2:00 p.m.-7:00.p.m. This year we are again proud to support homebred WNY original musicians! It promises to be another fine gathering of some of the best live entertainment you will see/hear anywhere. Gracing the stage (there’s pun coming up) this year for the first time at this event will be: the words and wisdom of The Pure Ink and Pulse Poetry poets, veteran blues mama, Donna Rose and Hot Blue Mix, and the up and coming guitar sensation, Grace Lougen and her Band.
