Celebrate Amherst’s Bicentennial at Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village. Remember Amherst’s humble beginnings and rejoice in its triumphant growth as a flourishing suburb.

The museum and grounds will open at 5:00pm, featuring 35 acres, 4 historic gardens, 10 major exhibits, a lovingly preserved historic village, and a working farmstead home to oxen, sheep, and chickens. Historic village will be open weather permitting.

Two special behind the scenes tours of the Collections Building and two special guided tours of the Historic Village will both be offered at 5:00pm and 6:00pm. Light refreshments will be served beginning at 6:00pm. O’Connnell & Company will present an original short play celebrating Amherst’s Bicentennial at 7:00pm.
