Inspired by the Southern tradition of Sunday brunch with soul food and gospel music, Buffalo restaurants Hydraulic Hearth andThe Black Sheep and musician David Michael Miller are teaming to present a casual brunch in the Hydraulic Hearth beer garden, while donating a portion of proceeds to the St. Patrick’s food pantry around the corner in Larkinville.

On Sunday, August 23rd, Hydraulic Hearth’s whimsically welcoming outdoor beer garden will host two seatings of brunch service at noon and 2:00pm, with a pig roast and Southern-style sides catered by The Black Sheep and Miller and the Other Sinners performing a set of gospel music during each seating. Miller’s second solo album, “Same Soil,” currently stands at #5 on the Roots Music Report’s blues chart, behind Buddy Guy and Sonny Landreth. With seating limited, $25 advance tickets covering food and music can be purchased at http://www.eventbrite.com/e/gospel-brunch-tickets-18059366050?aff=es2;; drinks such as craft brews, shandies and cocktails will be offered at Hydraulic Hearth’s outdoor bar.

“We’ve enjoyed the casual gospel brunch vibe in cities such as Austin, and between The Black Sheep, David Michael Miller, and our beer garden, we’re excited to present this uniquely Buffalo take on it,” said Hydraulic Hearth proprietor Harry Zemsky. “Religious beliefs are absolutely not required for this one – it’s all about coming together for good food, drinks, and music on a Sunday afternoon. ”
