The 13th Anniversary Female Musicians Fighting Breast Cancer Benefit is once again set to raise awareness and funds for the WNY Breast Resource Center, the go-to support and information center on the grounds of Roswell Park Cancer Institute. It is where patients and their support network can learn to make informed choices and become better equipped to explore their treatment options. The event will occur on Sunday October 25th, 2015. Doors will open at 1:30p.m. with four local acts, featuring female members, donating their talent to perform from 2:00 p.m.-7:00.p.m. This year we are proud to return to our roots of supporting homebred WNY original musicians! It promises to be another fine gathering of some of the best live entertainment you will see/hear anywhere. Gracing the stage this year for the first time at this event will be: the words and wisdom of The Pure Ink and Pulse Poetry poets, veteran blues mama, Donna Rose and Hot Blue Mix, and the up and coming guitar sensation, Grace Lougen and her Band. Our headliner this year, back from her supporting world tour with Joan Baez, is our own Grace Stumberg,!!! This is Grace's reprise performance at this benefit.
Prizes generously donated by local and national merchants will be raffled off throughout the show, as well as 50/50 splits run twice throughout the show. Admission to witness all this talent under one roof will be just $10.00. There will be a cash bar and the fine food at the venue to enhance the experience. This fundraiser, sanctioned by the Roswell Park Alliance Foundation and Team Cure, donates 100% of the proceeds to Roswell Park’s WNY Breast Resource Center. It is the original music benefit to raise Breast Cancer Awareness and has spawned similar events locally. The mission of this benefit is dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, and empowerment of breast cancer patients.
