Join us as the Museum hosts two events commemorating the Fenian Invasion.  (The invasion itself took place from June 1 to 3, 1866.)


A panel discussion led by co-moderators: Douglas Kohler, Erie County Historian and Edward Patton. 
Panel members are: Timothy Madigan of St. John Fisher College on "The Fenian Movement." Timothy Bohen, author of "The First Ward and Its Role in the Fenian Movement." Bridgette Slavin, teacher at Medaille College "Ancient Roots of the Fenian Movement." Jim Hill - the Canadian perspective. Craig Spears - the American perspective. James O'Brien of The Ancient Order of Hibernians in America to discuss military strategy. William Patterson of The Ancient Order of Hibernians in America - written biographies of the Fenian leadership. David Doolan - no information available.
