The world premiere of a new opera about the assassination of President McKinley in Buffalo at the Pan-American Exposition in 1901. Features a full orchestra, full chorus, HD digital screen technology, projections, supertitles.

One of the most important moments in the history of Buffalo occurred in September 1901. President William McKinley was shot during his visit to the Pan American Exposition. He died 7 days later of his wounds. For the first time, that fateful week will be dramatized live on stage!

SHOT!  by Persis Vehar is a World Premiere Production. Libretto by Gabrielle Vehar from a concept by Valerian Ruminski, SHOT! is a new opera sung in English in two acts, The production includes a full 26 piece orchestra,  a 32 person chorus with 18 principal singers, Supertitles in English, Digital Projections of Buffalo History, Set recreations of The Milburn House, Scenes from the Pan American Expo, Historical Costumes from DC Theatricks, International Artists, scene in the Czolgosc Jail Cell, scene with Emma Goldman, songs written about Buffalo in 1901…and more!
