Letterpress I Thursdays, July 9 & 16 / 6-9pm This workshop covers the fundamentals of letterpress printing. It focuses on hand setting type, the basics of laying out a forme, and the operation of platen and bed presses. Students can expect to spend time learning the vocabulary of printing and the layout of the printshop, as well as produce a one-color card, broadside, or poster. Instructor: Jodi Hamman & Christine Gallisdorfer Pre-payment is required for all workshops at WNYBAC. You can pay online, by phone, or by mail. All workshops will take place at the WNY Book Arts Center and have no prerequisite knowledge required unless otherwise noted.
