In this area of numerous Greek food restaurants, where people actually know the difference between souvlaki, tzatziki, and moussaka, it is a wonder why there has not been a Greek food truck sooner in this era of food truck bliss. Well wonder no more.  Co-owners Sam Vasiliadis and Joelle DeCicco have entered the food truck rodeo with Greek on the Street. This eye-catching truck is the newest hit on the streets of Western New York. Greek on the Street serves up traditional Greek fare in a simple way that allows the hungry lunch crowd, and late night revelers to get their food quickly and be on their way. During my recent visit, the staff was very friendly, and excited to be joining the momentum of the recent food truck explosion in the area.

For lunch I ordered the chicken souvlaki wrap in a pita, (also available on a white or wheat wrap), accompanied by lettuce, onions, feta cheese, and super fresh tzatziki, which any fan of the traditional Greek spread knows this is nothing to take for granted. I quickly unwrapped my lunch and took my first bite....Wow! The chicken was grilled to perfection, and the feta cheese added a nice bite. The Greek oil went well with the wrap, but not overpowering. The onions added that kick that fresh onions do, and the star of the show was the aforementioned tzatziki. It was homemade with yogurt, cucumbers, and garlic, and the last bite was just as creamy as the first. Other options this day were a beef souvalaki, traditional gyro, rice pudding, and baklava. The menu changes often and you can be sure you'll find something you desire. Check out this new roaming establishment, and be a part of a new wave of Buffalo food trucks.

Stin Iyia Sou! (Cheers)
