Ever since it bowed at the Sundance Film Festival back in January, Sean Baker's iPhone 5S-shot Tangerine has been a 2015 must-see. The audience buzz critical acclaim continue to carry on as audiences across the pond in the UK finally received their chance to watch via the London Film Festival this weekend. Despite its limited domestic run this summer, however, Buffalo had still yet to experience it unique holiday brand of justice ahead of its quickly-approaching November 10th DVD release date. Well, we do now.

REEL Queer—a film series sponsored by Squeaky Wheel that has previously brought the great Pride and Call Me Kuchu to town via Hallwalls Contemporary Art Center—has announced Tangerine as its latest installment for this Thursday, October 15th in co-sponsorship with the Andy Warhol Foundation. Please take special note that the series' venue has changed to Dreamland Studio at 387 Franklin Street in Buffalo. The show starts there at 7:00pm and is free for Squeaky members with a $5.00 suggested donation for non-members.

The film definitely lived up to its must-see status for me and you should look long and hard at your calendar to see what needs to happen for you to free up a couple hours an attend this one-night special event.
