Good Afternoon, Buffalo!  I hope this Free Music Friday finds you well!  During a week where King Kendrick once again seemingly overshadowed the entire music industry with his sheer brilliance ( if you don't know what I'm talking about you need to familiarize yourself with untitled, unmastered immediately), we here at Buffalo Vibe still managed to dig up some gems from the vast reaches of the interwebs for your listening pleasure.  Enjoy!

Joey Bada$$ - Brooklyn's Own

Fresh new track from Joey Badmon with Statik Selektah on the production.  This song has a feel reminiscent of his classic 1999 mixtape with Joey's superflous flow over beatifully jazzy instrumentation.  Stream below or click here for the download link.

Elzhi - Two 16's

Elzhi is hands down one of the greatest lyricists as well as one of the most underatted rappers in the game.  The Detroit emcee dropped this single in anticipation of his upcoming album Lead Poison.  The track was produced by Kariem Riggins and is pretty self explanatory - two verses, 16 bars a piece, and some excellent story telling throughout.  Stream below or download.

K-Def - The Unpredictable Gemini

The Unpredictable Gemini is an excellent instrumental album from producer K-Def.   Keeping this project very close to heart and classified from the public over the last 3 years, K meticulously produced, composed, arranged, mixed and mastered well over 100 tracks before making executive decisions on this album he wants the world to hear. According to K-Def, "I want you to know that the sounds on this album display some of my true inner fellings about music & life.  With the advancement of technology and knowledge of using all kinds of recording equipment datin back to the late 80's, I present to you the unpredictable Gemini."

The Notorious B.I.G. x Metro Boomin - Ready to Boom

Atlanta based producer, Metro Boomin released this tribute to Biggie this week on the 19th anniversary of the East Coast great's death.  This mixtape features classic Big verses over more modern, trap style production and some of Metro's more recent hits.  I still can't decide where I fall on this one - some tracks I like while other's I can't even listen to - but it's a dope concept and a nice tribute to one of the GOATS, so, I'll let you decide.  Check out the stream below or download here.
