Business Listings & Promotions
BuffaloVibe currently offers a free baseline listing and standalone event promotion. As the platform grows, additional annual business tiers may be introduced for higher-volume businesses.
Tier 1 — Free
$0 per year
Claim and manage a basic listing at no cost, including core business details, one photo, and directory visibility across Local Guide search and browse.
Promoted Event
$20 per event
Promote a single event without an annual membership, or add extra promotion after included event credits are used. Promoted events appear ahead of standard listings.
Helpful tips for new members
Not sure where to begin? Here's a quick rundown.
- 1 Create a free account. Registration takes under a minute. All you need is a name and email address. No credit card required.
- 2 Submit an event. From your dashboard, you can add an event to the calendar — concerts, pop-ups, classes, community meetings, anything public. Events are reviewed and usually go live within 24 hours.
- 3 Claim or add your business. If your business isn't in the Local Guide yet, add it for free. If it's already listed, claim it to manage the details and photos.
- 4 Promote something important. When you submit an event, you'll have the option to boost it for $20. Promoted events appear above the standard listing and get more eyes on them.
- 5 Reach out. Have a story tip, a question, or feedback? Use the contact form — a real person reads every message.

When you create an account we collect your name and email address. When you submit content (events, business listings, contact messages) we collect what you provide. We also collect standard server log data — IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps — for security and operational purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate the site, authenticate your account, deliver transactional emails (such as password resets and account confirmations), and improve our content and services. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.
3. Email Communications
By creating an account you may receive transactional emails related to your account and activity on the site. We use Brevo to deliver email. You can opt out of non-essential communications at any time by contacting us.
4. Cookies & Local Storage
We use session cookies to keep you logged in and to protect form submissions against cross-site request forgery (CSRF). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. Disabling cookies may prevent some site features from working correctly.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the site: Brevo (email delivery), Stripe (payment processing for optional paid features), and Google Fonts (typeface delivery). Each service operates under its own privacy policy. We do not share your data with these services beyond what is necessary to complete your request.
6. Payment Information
All payment processing is handled by Stripe. We never store your full credit card number or card security code on our servers. Stripe's handling of payment data is governed by their own privacy policy and PCI-DSS compliance program.
7. Data Retention
Account data is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Some data may be retained in backup systems for a limited period thereafter.
8. Children
This site is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us through the contact form. We will respond within 30 days.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
3. User-Submitted Content
By submitting content to the site (events, business listings, messages, or other contributions) you represent that you have the right to share that content and that it does not violate any third-party rights. You grant BuffaloVibe a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to publish, display, and distribute your submitted content on the site and in promotional materials related to the site.
We reserve the right to remove, edit, or decline any submitted content for any reason, including content we determine to be inaccurate, offensive, misleading, or off-topic.
4. Prohibited Content
You may not submit content that is defamatory, obscene, fraudulent, or in violation of any applicable law. Spam, automated submissions, and promotions for illegal goods or services are prohibited and will result in immediate account termination.
5. Paid Features
Optional paid features (promoted events) are billed as described at the time of purchase. Payments are processed by Stripe. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us within 7 days of purchase if you believe a charge was made in error. We reserve the right to modify pricing with reasonable notice.
6. Intellectual Property
All editorial content, design, graphics, and code on this site are the property of BuffaloVibe or its content partners. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or republish site content without written permission. User-submitted content remains the property of its respective submitters.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
This site is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the site will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components. Event listings and business information are user-submitted and may not be accurate — always verify details directly with the organizer or business.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BuffaloVibe shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site or any content found on it. Our total liability for any claim arising from use of the site shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, if any.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Buffalo, NY, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Buffalo, NY.
