Don’t hibernate this winter break, chill out with us! Explore cold weather creatures through hands-on polar activities, including:

MAD: Migrate, Adapt or Die. Ever wonder how animals can survive the challenge of winter? Experience firsthand how some animals adapt to the extreme cold, why others will move temporarily to warmer climates - and what happens if an animal cannot do either.
Animal Tracks in Winter: A winter scene can appear as if there are no signs of life. Upon closer examination, discover how we can tell what animals are adapting to the weather, where they are living, and what they are eating.

PLUS experience the wonders of space and space exploration for one final time before Our Place In Space closes for renovations on January 1! Peer through a telescope and ‘see’ how scientists can view distant celestial bodies or design a space suit that will allow you to survive the extremes of space.

All activities are included with Museum admission and free for BMS members.
