This full-length oratorio follows in the great tradition of Bach, and describes the final days of Jesus’ life through both Jewish and Christian texts. It was written for the BPO and will be recorded for NAXOS. Danielpour, a Grammy Award winner, is one of the deans of contemporary American composition. Hila Plitmann, who sang on the BPO’s Grammy-winning “Mr. Tambourine Man” recording, will return to take a lead role in this Passion for the 21st century. Come at 1 hour early to hear directly from the artists in “Musically Speaking,” sponsored by Uniland Development.
