The Battle Within Memorial Service is an effort to get our heads and hearts around the complex issue of the approximately 20+ Veteran suicides per day. It’s meant to be both a fitting military salute to those that have tragically taken their lives, and a forum for issues related to the well-being of Veterans.
In addition to having personal messages by those impacted by Veteran suicide, PTSD, and Traumatic Shock, this event will center on educating the public as well as providing resources available from the VA and community partners.
We will also be unveiling a permanent memorial proposed for inclusion along Buffalo’s Inner Harbor.
