464 Gallery is thrilled to celebrate its fifth birthday with a celebration of the four years that have come before. On Valentine’s Day, Friday, February 14th, 2014 from 6-11:30pm, 464 Gallery will host eVolution, a two-floor party with dj’s interactive art installations, Lloyd Taco Trucks and drinks, an art exhibition celebrating ten artists who got their start at 464 and have gone on to greater local success, and will begin their new mission that will include showing work by emerging, evolving and artists from abroad.

What better way to celebrate the love 464 has for the local art community than by celebrating some of its stars that got their start at 464 Gallery, AND on Valentine’s Day. This art exhibition has challenged the following ten artists to create brand new works for this exhibit that explore the idea of evolution, whether it is their personal evolution, their evolution through and with 464 Gallery, the evolution of their own artistic style, or the theme in general. Featured artists include: Max Collins, Paul Klonowski, Marissa Lehner, Ogre, Tara Sasadek, Dana Saylor, David Tarsa, Chuck Tingley, Rich Tomasello and Thomas Webb.

As always, 464 loves to throw a great party, because we believe art is best viewed while having a good time. We will have AVDJ PROJEX spinning upstairs at Studio 464, open studios with resident artists Christina Laing, Alicia Malik, Ryan Mis, and CJ Szatkowski, drinks and Lloyd Taco Trucks on hand. All are invited to join us at this free and fun event.

For the fifth year, and apropos to the holiday, 464 will reprise their interactive arts installation "What's in Your Heart" which debuted at our grand opening in 2009 and has since become a popular component of our anniversary events: each visitor cuts out a paper heart and writes what they love on it. Each heart is hung in the display windows of the gallery for the duration of the show’s run. We will also be re-hanging some of our favorite hearts from previous years.
