Students compete against one another by completing levels in Codecademy. Codecademy gives points for log-ins, completing tasks, and performance. The student with the most points by midnight on the 20th gets the prize. There will be programmers throughout the week to teach and aide participants.

 

 

Rules: Participants must be of Middle School age - for the purpose of the contest that is ages 10-14. Participants CANNOT use their own Codecademy account but will be assigned a username and password at the Feb. 13th opening event. If a participant cannot make it to the opening session they can get their username and password by calling the Hamburg Public Library.  Codecademy will grade and assign points according to their own matrix. The Hamburg and Lake Shore Public Libraries do not assume responsibility for technical errors that may occur.

 

Prize is a Raspberry Pi
