March 2nd is the 250th birthday of former NY Governor DeWitt Clinton. Gov. DeWitt Clinton (1769-1828) championed and oversaw the creation of the Erie Canal, with far-reaching consequences for New York State and the nation as a whole.

COME HEAR from Ken Silber who will discuss his book In DeWitt’s Footsteps: Seeing History on the Erie Canal and the legacy that he and his family (his wife and son are direct descendants of Gov. Clinton) explored as they traveled along the canal’s historic and modern routes.
