Co-Artifact is a fundraising event that brings artists from the community and Starlight Studio artists together to create collaborative artworks.
Co-Artifact is a fundraising event that brings artists from the community and Starlight Studio artists together to create collaborative artworks.
The finished pieces will be displayed in the Starlight gallery and then auctioned off to benefit the Starlight Studio and Art Gallery program on September 25th, 2015 from 6-9pm. All proceeds will go to support the Starlight Studio and Art Gallery program.
Twenty-one Starlight artists have been paired randomly with twenty-one artists from the Buffalo community to collaborate on these artworks. Each artist started a peice and then his or her artist partner finished it.
The idea stemmed from a story of an illustrator whose daughter found her sketchbook and drew on top of her unfinished drawings. When the illustrator found what she had done she decided to use her daughter's lines to create a more interesting and finished piece.
In addition to the Auction event, there will be local music from popular local Buffalo band (Folk Faces) , a cash bar, and the West Side Bazaar Food Cart!
Last year the event was a great success and so much fun. Thank you to everyone who helped us raise over 3000 dollars to support our program and hopefully we can go above and beyond this year!
We can't wait to see everyone at Co-Artifact 2.0!
