In our previous post, we spoke about getting ready for wedding season and checking out some recent tuxedo trends. Now that we've got that covered, its time to explore the three suits you'll want for summer. When it comes to suits in the warmer months, there are three basic materials that are worth investing in which will keep you cool and comfortable all season long .

The Cotton Suit
Lightweight, structured but easily packable, the cotton suit usually available in more neutral colors like khaki or navy, works great not only for weddings but any occasion like a night out on the town or day to day work wear.  J.Crew's Ludlow Suit is a favorite of ours, because of its slimmer silhouette and wide range of color options. Plus the jacket and pants and be paired separately with other items to create numerous looks all summer long.

The Linen Suit
The linen suit, much like its cotton counterpart, is great for warmer weather because it breathes, is lightweight, yet can be susceptible to wrinkling and may need to ironed from time to time. While tans and lighter colors are the more popular options when it comes to a linen suit, grey and navy options offer a nice update to this classic suit. A favorite retailer of linen suits of mine, surprisingly, is H&M. The cut is perfect, the color options are varied and the price won't break the bank. I personally own two different linen suits from H&M, one featured here, and another one that I've had for 6 or 7 years now and it still looks perfect.

The Seersucker Suit
This last one may be a bit of a tough sell for some and the times for wearing a seersucker suit are much fewer than any of the previous options, but if you happen to find yourself in a situation which calls for wearing one, you shan't be disappointed. The ultimate warm weather suit made popular in the south, Seersucker is comfortable, easily washable and the ultimate piece of preppy apparel. Brooks Brothers, naturally, is quite famous for their seersucker suits, but you can usually find one in most menswear shops at the start of the summer for reasonable prices.
