The Met Gala, also known as the fashion world's Oscars, was held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Monday night in celebration of the annual Costume Institute Exhibit. This years theme was "China: Through The Looking Glass" and Hollywood's biggest stars showed up in fine (an not so fine) form to showcase their style for the event. While there are many great looks to be had, below are some of our favorites. We're showcasing these not only for our love of fashion, but also because wedding season is officially upon us and that means you're going to need a tux. Below are some looks that will definitely help you nail the black tie look as well as give you some ideas on how to try something different.

Patterns:
Michael B. Jordan and Justin Bierber were definite winners in the "trying something different" category. With subtle and bold pattern shown here, both looks are pulled off flawlessly with the right amount of confidence. Is Justin Bieber a tool? Absolutely. But this outfit is so fire you have to give him props. Michael B. Jorndan's emerald damask tux looks equally incredible. I would have just gone with plain black shoes myself.

Fit:
We cannot overemphasize this enough. Fit trumps everything. Two gentlemen who absolutely killed it with their fits are from Larry David (surprisingly) and (not at all surprising) Eddie Redmayne. Larry's classic black on black looked great, but it was the fit of this suit that has all the inter webs buzzing. Who knew Larry had such fine taste? Eddie Redmayne, on the other hand, kills it as he always does with his tux. His fits are always perfect, with the flawless pant length and classic style that always looks so effortless on him.

The Blues:
Another monster trend that has taken over the red carpet and formal events in general is the return of the blue tuxedo. Not nearly as difficult to pull off as one would think, this is a great classic look that most often times can only be noticed only at a close distance. Just be sure if you're in a wedding party that everyone is wearing navy, because otherwise, you will absolutely stand out. Always the style icon, Lenny Kravitz makes a great update to the navy tux by going head to toe with it, which looks amazing (mostly likely only) on him.

Classic:
Of course when it comes to tuxes, you can never go wrong with the classics. There are plenty of ways to put your own stamp on it though, whether it be a pop boutonniere or simply mixing up the shape with a double breasted jacket like the one worn by Jay Z. Common, yet another style icon and continually one of my favorites, has the perfect fit, look and his own flair with his custom lapel pin.
